C&TSFIELD WINS THE STEEPLES The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Winter Meeting was concluded in splendid weather, before a large attendance. The i totalisator investments totalled £7,094, compared with £6,098 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £11,411 10s, against £10,285 last year, an increase of £1,126 10s. Mata Hari was first out an,d led all the way, followed by Quake. Hunter's Morn played up at the start and the field was eventually started in front of him. He soon ran into third place.
