FAILING TO ACCOUNT FOR MONEY [Per United Press Association.] HASTINGS, June 13. Gordon Goodwin Grant Stephens (57), a public accountant and auditor, was charged in the court this morning with failing to account for the sum of £2O received on account of a client, thereby committing theft. Detective Farquharson said that the accused called at the police station last evening and voluntarily gave himself up. Other charges were pending, and probably the amount involved, would be in the vicinity of £7OO. The accused was remanded till June 25, bail being fixed in the sum of £2OO and one surety.
