POLICE STILL PUZZLED

THE WAIHOU MURDER FUNERAL OF THE VICTIM [Per United Press Association.] WHANGAREI, June 13. The police are still-puzzled over the murder of Ernest Severen Nelson. They realise that they are np against a difficult problem. Wads found near the body show that the gun used was a 12 bore, which is a common type and provides little help. Many Maoris in the vicinity have an imperfect knowledge of English, which makes questioning difficult and unprofitable. A detective who speaks Maori has now arrived. The funeral of the victim of the murder took place at Kawa Kawa yesterday, and the esteem in which he was held was evidenced by the large gathering of Europeans and Maoris.
