'I LIVE MY LIFE'
JOAN CRAWFORD IN FINE FILM Humour and romance in well-judged quantities are the main ingredients of ‘ I Live My Life,’ the film opening at the Empire on Frida}'. Joan Crawford’s name heading the cast is enough recommendation to many people, nut one that may not be so widely known is that of Brian Aherne, her leading man. Ahern© gave a glimpse or Ins acting 'quality in ‘ The Constant Nymph and 1 The Fountain,’ but in his latest picture he is reported to have progressed amazingly. In the role of a man of depth, albeit an archaeologist, Aherne presents a fine study. He has a dislike of cities and city prodiicts, which include Miss Crawford, as Kay Bentley, daughter of a wealthy yacht owner.” But when he is persuaded that she is only the owner’s secretary he resolutely follows her to New York. How he finally wins her is the theme of a fine picture.
