AN ARTISTIC TREASURE

TITANIA'S PALACE EXHIBITION Recognition of its priceless value as a unique art treasure is being evidenced by the ceaseless stream of visitors to the exhbition of Titania’s Palace in the millinery salon of Messrs Arthur Barnett Ltd. The palace is indeed a gem of miniature craftsmanship in every respect, from its richly-conceived tapestries to the amazingly beautiful frescoes and mosaics, characteristic of the Renaissance period. Specially gratifying is the patronage accorded the display by children, whose enthusiastic delight is manifested in the gregt interest they take in the detailed splendour of the palace. Yesterday afternoon it was visited bv over 150 children from the Macandrcw Road School, and it is to be hoped that other primary schools will be represented before the exhibit’s season concludes on June 16. A further opportunity will this evening be afforded that 'section of the public which is unable to visit the palace during the day. tho management having made arrangements to have the salon open until 9 p.m. The collaborators in this great work were Sir Neville Wilkinson, who was responsible for the delicious paintings, and Mr James Hicks, of Dublin, who fashioned the palace’s exterior. Tho proceeds from the display are to he devoted to the Crippled Children’s Fund.
