TAIERI BOWLING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING Mr W. 'Allan (retiring president) wat in the chair at the opening of the annual meeting of the Taien Bowling Club, and after the annual report and balance sheet had been read, discussed, and adopted, and the office-bearers for the ensuing year elected, the new president, Mr F. Bradley, took the chair. This year’s office-bearers are as follow President, Mr F. Bradley; vicepresident, Mr A. Steven; secretary, Mr H. M‘L. Johnstone; selector, Mr D. Stevenson; Green Committee, Messrs A. F. Quelch and John Gordon; Genoral Committee —Messrs John Murray, Robert Gibson, and James Haigh; delegate to the Bowling Centre, Mr W. R. Howard; auditor, Mr A. F. Quelch; Club Ties Committee, Messrs Gordon and Cousins. A discussion took place on the question of sending in remits to the annual meeting of delegates, when it was decided to send the following:—“That the centre revert to the system of scoring in Saturday interclub matches which was in force immediately prior to tha last season.” The subscription was fixed at tha same.rate as last year. ; Thanks were expressed to th© ladies for valuable help and to the Croquet Club for a donation. Congratulations were offered to Mr D. Stevenson, on his winning the club championship for the eleventh time. Six rinks will be entered in the interelub matches.this coming season and one in the Adess Shield competition. The usual evening competitions will also be participated in.
