SYDNEY TAXI-DRIVERS
EPIDEMIC OF HCID-UFS
PERMISSION SOUGHT TO CARRY, ARMS. SYDNEY, May 24. There has been an epidemic of holdups of taxi drivers in Sydney during recent months. The position has become so alarming that the drivers are seeking permission to carry firearms. Two more were robbed last nigbt by, armed men, who commandeered thfir cars and compelled the drivers to ride in the rear seat to lonely parts, where they relieved them of their ffioney. The police to-night arrested two men suspected of this class of crime.
