MAGISTRATE’S COURT

TUESDAY, MAY 12. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) UNDEFENDED CASES. Judgment by default, with costs, was given for the plaintiffs in the following undefended cases:—Dunedin City, Corporation v. Sydney M'Millan (Halfway Bush), £5 6s 9d, balance duo under hire purchase agreement on radio set; Allan Campbell r. J. T. Woolley (Burnside), £6, amount of dishonoured cheques. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. John Griffiths proceeded against Richard Collins claiming 17s lid on a judgment summons. There was no appearance of the debtor, who was ordered to pay the amount forthwith, with costs 6s, in default of ono day’s imprisonment. Butterfields proceeded against John Finn claiming £4 3s 6d on a judgment summons. The debtor, who did not appear, was ordered to pay the amount forthwith, with costs, in default of four days’ imprisonment.
