(Received May 1, at 11.15 a.m.) The 1 Daily Telegraph ’ says that Hie old German navy is helping to build the new British Navy andl merchant ships. Works at Sheffield, and in Scotland are making steel plates from scrap from scuttled warships at Scapa Flow, and it is stated that similar plates are embodied in the Queen Mary. German brasswork is also utilised.
