THE PORT HOBART, Tlie Port Line motor ship Port Hobart left London on March 13 for Suva, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Suva on April 18 and at Lyttelton on April 27. After discharge at Dunedin the vessel will load at Nelson, New Plymouth, Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington, She is scheduled to clear Wellington for London via Cape Horn and Teneriffe on May 22. NEW COMMANDER FOR STRATHAIRD. Captain J. K. Chaplin, R.D., R.N.R., has been appointed staff commander of the Strathaird, which sailed from Tilbury for Bombay and Australia on Friday, February 21. Captain Chaplin has been for many years in the service of the P. and 0., and is known to a very large circle of regular passengers on the company’s services to India, the Far East, and Australia, as well as to friends at the ports of call. The Union Company advises that the following are the loadings for Pacific Coast ports from Dunedin:— Cape Horn is to leave Vancouver on April 10, San Francisco on April 22, and Los Angeles on April 24 for Cook Islands, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. She is expected at Auckland on May 20 and at Dunedin on May 30. Hauraki is to leave Vancouver on May 15, San Francisco on May 29, and Los Angeles on May 31 for Papeete, Cook Islands, Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. She is expected at Auckland on June 28, and at Dunedin on July 8. THE PORT NICHOLSON. To commence loading in New Zealand, the Port Line steamer Port Nicholson is due at Bluff from Port Kembla on April 14.
