MARRIAGES INCREASING
23 MORE THAN LAST YEAR FEWER BIRTHS AND DEATHS THIS MONTH Since the beginning of the year there have been 119 marriages—23 more than for the same two months of last year—■ while in the month ended to-day the number of ceremonies (inclusive of those performed by the registrar) totalled 64—9 more than last month’s figures and 12 above those for last February. Seven more births have been registered to date this year than last, but the number of babies born in the past 29 days was 84, or 13 less than for the 28 days of the same month a year ago. They have been fewer bv half than the number horn last month. Deaths daring January and February show an increase of four over those which occurred in these months of 1935. but the total this February shows 12 fewer than for the same month last year Following are the comparative totals;— ■—Fcbruarv.— 1936. 1935.
