LINER QUEEN MARY
ROYAL INSPECTION PLANNED (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, February 22. It is understood that the King will inspect the liner Queen Mary on March 5. His Majesty will travel to Glasgow on the night of March 4, and visit John Brotvn’s shipyard during the following day. A WONDER SHIP LONDON, February 24. (Received February 25, at 11 a.m.) Tremendous interest is being aroused in the completion of the liner Queen Mary. The coat of black paint against the white upperworks seems to magnify her immensity. Crowds om Sunday swarmed on the river bank opposite to admire the wonder ship. Additional to the tests previously mentioned, another was carried out with four 35-ton propellers coupled, causing a spectacular churning, of the dock water. It is understood that special instruments recorded an almost entire absence of vibration.
The Queen Mary, on March 24, wilt* be manoeuvred down the ticklish nar-j row channel into deeper water at-' Greenoch and will then go to South-1 ampton to complete her fittings. AJ’ small army of Clyde workmen will accompany her for this purpose.
