CHAMPIONSHIP SPORTS MEETING The annual, championship meeting of the Mornington Harriers was held at Logan Park. Results ; 100 Yards.—Kennedy 1, Roxburgh 2. Paulin 3. Kennedy got away to a good start, and led all the way to win by two yards, with a similar distance between second and third. Ten started. Time. 10 7-10 sec. 220 Yards—Roxburgh 1, Kennedy 2, Paulin 3. This was a good race. Roxburgh heat Kennedy to the bend, and led into the straight. Kennedy made a great effort to get up, but failed by inches. Paulin was some Byds further back. Six started. Time, 25sec. 440 Yards.—Kennedy 1, Roxburgh 2, Paulin 3. Kennedy took the lead, with Roxburgh in close attendance. The latter was a yard back on entering the straight, but Kennedy moved away on the home stretch to win by 3yds, with Paulin 10yds back. Eight started. Time, 55 3-ssec. 880 Yards.—Roxburgh 1, Miller 2, Kennedy 3. At the end of the first lap Roxburgh was leading, closely followed by Miller, Kennedy, Hall, and Pullar, but the first two moved away down the back straight to the 220yds mark, when Miller took the lead. Roxburgh challenged strongly in the 'straight, and passed Miller to win by syds, Kennedy being 15yds further back. Ten started. Time, 2min 14 4-ssec.

High Jump.—Chirnside (4ft lOin) and Miller (4ft 10in) dead hpat 1, Paulin (4ft 9in) 3. Eight competitors. Broad Jump.—Chirnside (18ft 10in) 1, Kennedy (18ft 6in) 2, Paulin (17ft 2in) 3. Eight competitors. Hop, Step, and Jump.—Kennedy (39ft 4in) 1, Paulin (35ft 4iin) 2, Miller (35ft 4in) 3. Ten competitors. Shot Putt.—Chirnside (27ft sin) 1, Taylor (26ft 6in) 2, Miller (23ft 6in) 3. Five competitors. The aggregate championship points are; —Kennedy 14, Roxburgh 10, Chirnside 81, Paulin 7, Miller 61, Taylor 2.
