NELSON LEADS AGAIN
SUNNIEST CENTRE IN DOMINION . ANXIOUS MOMENTS FOR LOCAL ENTHUSIASTS [Pee United Press Association.! NELSON, January 29. According to returns furnished by Dr Kidson, director of the meteorological branch of the Department- oi Scientific Research, L 4 Sunny Nelson again heads New Zealand lor the hours of bright sunshine recorded. When the local returns for .the past year were presented on January 2 it was found that Nelson had had nearly 50 hours less sunshine than the previous year, and official returps from other districts have been awaited with considerable interest. _ These, however, show that Nelson, with 2,510.5 .hours, headed the list, with Blenheim (2,438.7) second, Lake Tekapo (2,431) thud, Tauranga (2,375.7) fourth, and Waipiata (2,260.7) fifth.
