A review of the fluctuations in the principal currencies during the past year in the Board of Trade Journal shows that on a balance the pound finished substantially unchanged in value in relation to the six chief gold currencies, but appreciated 6.3 per cent, in terms of lire and about 38 per cent, against belgas, the gold content of which was reduced on April 1.
