In standing as a National Candidate 1 am supporting- a Government which, in - the face of tremendous difficulties and strong opposition, has done that which few other countries have done —brought its people safely through the most difficult period in the world’s history, and is once more paying its way. I appeal for your support in order that this sound administration by the Government may be continued and a further progressive policy carried out. The South Dunedin branch of the W.C.T.U. held its annual cradle roll (mothers’ day) at St Clair beach. Afternoon tea was served to the mothers and soft drinks and milk and cakes were provided for the children, the president. Airs Donaldson, calling the names of the cradle roll. Hie superintendent, Airs Williamson, presented each chjld with a gift. Temperance literature was distributed and a pleasant afternoon was spent by all.
