PRICES TENDING FIRMER Press Association—By Telegraph—Copying! LONDON, November 22. (Received November 23; at 11 .a.in.) • At the wool sales 9,749 bales were offered, including 4,572 from New Zealand. About 7,950 bales of Australian and New Zealand were sold. There was animated general competition, all prices tending firmer. New Zealand sales; Greasy merino. “Cot,” 15d; scoured, “ Dunstan Downs,” 24>}d; greasy half-bred, “Cot,” top, 14gd, average 13RL Messrs Murray Roberts and Co. Ltd. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London agents, Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Elder Ltd., dated 22hd inst. : —“ Sales continue with a good tone; greasy merino suitable for the Continent, market shows a hardening tendency; scoured merino, except best descriptions, advanced 5 per cent.; cross-bred greasy fine • advanced 5 per cent.; cross-bred greasy medium advanced 5 per cent.”
