GREAT HOUSING SCHEME
ENTERPRISE IN LEEDS (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyrighi RUGBY. July 20. The Leeds City Council has in hand a vast scheme for rehousing city dwellers. Work will shortly begin on the construction of a big block of 940 flats, to be completed in 20 months. This represents only a small part of the whole scheme, which, at a cost of £14,500,000, aims at rehousing 30,000 families within six years and a-half. In connection with the present undertaking, the system of construction adopted in Paris is being introduced, concrete blocks made on the site being used throughout;.
