DISASTER IN INDIA SIXTEEN LIVES LOST Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright CALCUTTA, July 1. As the result of an' explosion in Biliar colliery, at Dhanbad, 16 men ware killed and 23 injured. The cause is not known, as flames and smoke are still issuing from many ventholes. The accident was sensed by an overseer, who did not hear the explosion, but ordered the men up. Four out of 150 failed to report, and the overseer and the assistant manager went down and both perished. Meanwhile flames shot up the shaft, injuring 33 men, 10 of whom died.
