MR E. COFFIN'S MEETINGS
In the Station Street Gospel Hall on ' Sunday evening Mr E. Coppin set forth some of Die many credentials of the ; Bible, which, ho pointed out, claims for itself divine inspiration and infallibility. 1 A brief account of how we come to have the Bible was followed by an interesting description of the construction [ of it. The claim that “no error or contradiction, of any kind lias ever , been proved to have existed in the Scriptures as originally given by God,” was substantiated by plain evidences that even the words, letters, tenses, and numbers are “ given by inspiration of God.” In no passage does this remarkable Book acknowledge the other so-called sacred hooks or writings of 1 the world. On the other hand, these j writings corroborate the facts of the Bible in a striking manner. After dealing with the accuracy of its scientific statements, astronomical correctness 1 and the exact fulfilment of its prophe- 1 cies the address was brought to a close ’ with an earnest appeal based upon the ' statement of the Saviour that those who believe have everlasting life and | those who reject His wo?ds will be judged by them in the day of judgment. , : For nights and time of meetings see 1 last Saturday's issue.
