MARINER DIES AT RANGE [Pen UKITED Pbkss Association.] AUCKLAND, July 1. After enjoying participation in a Scottish dance at the Caledonian gathering on Saturday night Alexander Brown, aged 75, collapsed and died. He retired three years ago frpm the Northern Steamship Company after 45 years’ service, his main ships being the Gairloch, Glenelg, Rotomahana, Aupon, Wellington, Rarawa, and Ngapuln. He crossed the Manukaii bar about 4,000 times,.
