WINTER HOLIDAYS AT MOUNT COOK

Mount Cook, as a leading winter ie- ; sort, continues to give very pleasant surprises to many visitors. They gladly find that the reports of clear, warm sunshine in the ‘ Alpine Wonder Valley ” by the cosy Hermitage have no been exaggerated, and altogether they soon have plenty of proof that days and nights in this region- or woiulfamous scenic charm and grandeur can bo lilted with happiness. This season s arangcnicnts for snow sports are better j

than ever. Novices—even if they are far past the years of youth—are quickly taught by experts to enjoy thrills on ski, in the easy style which Mr Barry Canlfeild very successfully introduced last year. In addition to a big programme of carnivals, ski tours, aiicl sports meetings are arranged tor parties. Recent heavy falls ot snow have ensured favourable ski-iug conditions for the season.
