CHORAL SOCIETY
TO-MORROW NIGHT'S CONCERT . To -morrow night, at 8 o’clock, the Choral Society will present a Mozart concert in the main Town Hall, and the performance should sst a new high standard in musical'achievement., It is anticipated that Miss Winifred Gardner and Mrs B. 11. Nees, in the charming twopiano Mozart concerto, will on this occasion surpass previous performances. Both are fine pianists, and piano students might well study their artistic restraint and Jack of any suggestion of pose. Mrs Leonard Cronin will render ' Hours of Joys ’ and ‘ ’Tis a Madness,’ two of the outstanding masterpieces composed by Mozart. To Mr J. T). M'Kechnie has been given the task of rendering the beautiful bass solo from ‘ The Magic Flute.’ ‘ 0 Isis and Osiris.’ The well-known and delightfully written work for full choir, ‘ Ave Yerum,’ will be sung by the Choral Society’s choir. It is a number that requires delicate shading, and should give the choir an opportunity to display its talent for concerted singing. The box plan is at the D.I.C, and Charles Begg and Co.’s
