LOCATES ENEMY AIRCRAFT WORKS OUT POSITION IN HW SECONDS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 17. (Received May 18, at 12.35 p.m.) Anti-aircraft detachments are being equipped with a new form of predictor for locating hostile aircraft. Lord Mottistone told the ‘ Chronicle ’ it was an extraordinary invention. Immediately the predictor “ heard ” an aeroplane it worked out its exact position and did calculations normally taking forty-five minutes in two to three seconds. The predictor is attached to the anti-aircraft gun, and registers the exact position at which the projectile and. the hostile aircraft should meet.
