(Received May 17, at 1 p.m.) A ‘ Sun-Herald ’ service message says that Mr Ramsay MacDonald is intervening in the meat discussions as a mediator in endeavouring to overcome the deadlock. Mr J. A. Lyons sent him a letter on May 14 saying that the Commonwealth desired to meet British Ministers in addition to those who had hitherto participated in the discussions.
