ELECTION RUMOURS REVIVED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 16. Rumours of an election this year were revived by the progress of the India Bill, which is assured of passage in all stages, in the Commons and the Lords, before the summer recess. CABINET RECONSTRUCTION. LONDON, May 16. The ‘ Daily Express/ stating that the honours list to be issued on June 3 is expected to contain peerages for two members of the Cabinet, suggests that Mr Baldwin will then assume the Prime Ministership, Mr Ramsay MacDonald possibly Foreign Affairs, and Sir John Simon the Home Office or other appointment. The ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ expresses the opinion that Cabinet reconstruction is likely to occur after Whitsun, but statements anticipating particular appoinments are without foundation and nothing has yet been decided.
