GREEN ISLAND CINEMA

TO-MORROWS PROGRAMME As Bill Bailey, known as the “ Bail Bond King,” George Bancroft, too long absent from the screen, has a role in ‘ Blood Money ’ that fits him like the proverbial glove. ‘ Blood _ Money, which, will be shown at the Green Island Cinema tomorrow, is an actionpacked thriller. A dynamic characterisation is given by Bancroft, and there is some splendid acting by an excellent cast, including Frances Dee, Chick Chandler, Judith Anderson, Etienne Girardot, and others.' Judith Anderson who created- on the stage the leading role in 1 As You Desire Me,* makes her screen debut, and the sound camera accur&tely records the distinction of her personality. Frances Dee plays the society kleptomaniac, and Chick Chandler the thief she double-crossed. Daring riders and wild horses provide the maximum of action and thrills, while, n gripping story holds tense interest in 1 The Saddle Buster, the latest Tom Keene western feature which will be the other feature. Entirely different in theme from the usuaj western, the RKO Pathe production offers double conflict without resorting to wild chases and gun play. _ A young rodeo rider is pitted against twin enemies, a man-killing. horse and his own fear, with a rival cowboy adding further complications. The rodeo atmosphere, with all of its thrills, has been admirably captured. Swift-mov-ing entertainment is the result.
