MUTTON AND LAMB
AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND STOCKS IN LONDON HOLDERS MAINTAINING PRICES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 15. (Received May 16, at 10.30 a.m.) The biggest holders of Australian and New Zealand mutton and lamb have decided not to allow the prices of their stocks further to depreciate, therefore they are maintaining unaltered quotations at May 11. It is pointed out that the better values thereby obtained will not benefit producers because importers have completed buying from New Zealand, and have not yet begun in Australia. Three million carcases are involved.
