Mr Lloyd George was the guest of honour at the Newspaper Society’s dinner, at which Mr Arthur Grime (president of the society) paid a tribute to the standards of the Press in Australia. New Zealand, and other parts of the Empire. He said the newspapers were controlled by people who carried high responsibilities with lofty purpose and unswerving loyalty to the Crown. The dominions had every reason to be thankful for their Press.
