WRESTLING

KRUSKAMP V. NARBARES The Otago Wrestling, Association has secured two fine exponents of wrestling in Hardy Kruskamp and Leo Narbares for its Opening contest at the Town Hall on Monday evening. These two men met in Wellington for the first time some two weeks ago, and on that occasion the contest went the full distance of eight rounds, each man; securing one fall. Neither wrestler has appeared in' Dunedin previously, and patrons of the sport should be assured of solid and spectacular ■ wrestling. Both men are young, active, _ and in perfect physical condition, while both have an excellent record overseas. Narbares is an American subject, born in California 23 years ago, and has already participated in over 300 professional contests. Recently he has fought both Dr Len Hall and Dr Fred Meyer to a draw. Kruskamp is ' somewhat older than his opponent, being 29 years of age. He is, in appearance, possibly one. of the best athletes seen in a ring in the dominion, and his record does no injustice to. his appearance. Patrons of wrestling can look forward to an exciting bout when these two men meet on Monday evening. The professional contest will be preceded by four bright amateur bouts, in which some of the very best of the local amateur talent is engaged. Particulars as to prices and the box ; plan are advertised.
