The following weather forecast was issued at i ooa by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the south* ern district—Dunedin, Port Chalmera, Tapsinui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton, Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay:— A cyclone developed yesterday to th® north-east of the North Island, and this morning was centred off East Cape. Pressure is still high over th® South Island. Forecast: Light to mod. erate northerly winds'. Weather fair, to fine; temperatures cool with soma frosts inland. Seas smooth to moderate. PROMISE OF FINE WEEK-END. Delightful autumn weather was again experienced in Dunedin to-day, following another frost last night. Conditions now appear settled for a..sunny, week-end. . Temperatures were mild,, though early in the morning the air; was keen. A gentle north-east breeze tempered the pleasant strength of the sun. At noon a maximum temperature of 60deg was recorded, the minimum reading being 53,5 dee. _ Temperatures yesterday were: .Maximum,. 59.5 deg; minimum, 45.7 deg.
