GIRL’S DEATH [Per United Press Association,] , CHRISTCHURCH, March 29. Joseph Frederick David Clarkson, aged thirty-four, a draper’s assistant, was charged before the magistrate (Mr Mosley) that, on March 17, he unlawfully killed Adeline Mary Bradley, aged twenty-two, thereby committing manslaughter, and was remanded to April 9. Bail was fixed at £IOO and a surety of £IOO. The police said the post mortem examination showed that the condition which led to the girl’s death had been caused by a certain act. Accused bad come of bis own accord to the detective and admitted bis connection with the affair, saying that ho wanted to get it off his mind. He was a wellknown citizen and ofi good reputes.
