SLIDING ROOF STIFF TO OPERATE

Should the sliding roof become stiff to operate the iollowing proceduie should help to improve its running. Clean the interior channels pt the side guides with paraffin oil, wiping off with a clean, dry rag; then insert a little graphite grease into each channel, work the slide freely to and fro to distribute the graphite, and finally wipe off the surplus. ' . If this does not give the desired effect, the stiffness may be due to an incorrectly fitted locking device or lock bar, or due to inferior felt being used for’the side members. Generally, however, the first suggestion should be effective.
