. . . TWO CARS FOR ONE
A year or two ago in the North of England a brother and sister shared an old two-seater. This did not work too well, and they decided that there must be two cars. The sister took the old one along to a dealer and obtained generous allowance against a new car, which she proudly drove home. Later in the day the brother w'ent along to the dealer, without revealing his identity, picked out his former half-pro-perty, criticised all its defects, which he knew so well, and beat the dealer down to a price well below the allowance.
