Jewellery, rugs, and furs to a total value estimated at between 175,000d0l and 250,000d0l were stolen some time last Wednesday or Thursday from the home of Mrs Delphine Slattery, West Palm Drive, Altadena. The sheriff’s office said that the valuables included a diamond ring valued at 100,000dol. The robbery occurred during Mrs Slattery’s absence while no servants were in the house. Mrs Slattery said that the valuables were hidden in various parts of the house, every room of which had been ransacked. •
