PATIENTS AND PRISONERS’ CHRISTMAS CHEER.
11) THE EDITOE. Sir,—tVe thank all those who responded to our appeal for funds to provide Christmas cheer for patients and prisoners. As stated in our last letter, donations received will go towards providing gifts for patients in the Pleasant Valley Sanatorium and the Wakari Hospital, for patients in the mental hospitals at Seacliff and Waitati, and for prisoners and their dependents. .Although those who.have subscribed to this fund have been.very liberal, yet the sum received is very much short oflast year’s amount, and;we feel sure there are many who just need to be again reminded of this worthy object and sufficient funds will be forthcoming to give a nice Christmas treat to all our needy folk. Permit us also to remind those who usually assist in the general funds of our society that we would like all contributions and subscriptions sent in before the end of the month, as onr financial year closes on December 31. I am, etc., Ale?. Steven, Agent and Chaplain, December 14.
