POSITION IN AUSTRALIA ROYAL COMMISSION'S REPORT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CANBERRA, November 29. (Received November 29, at 9 a.m.) The Royal Commission which recently inquired into the wheat industry in Australia has submitted its report, which states that wheat growing since 1930 has been unprofitable, and the serious financial position .of the industry warrants the application of a home consumption price for that part of the wheat consumed within the Commonwealth, also the Government should provide financial assistance by means of excise on flour, together with a contribution by the Commonwealth. The amount of assistance necessary would be £4,000,000, which would be distributed in the foifn of a bounty.
