KISCH CONVICTED SENTENCED TO IMPRISONMENT. ■Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, November 28. Kisch was convicted on the charge of being a prohibited immigrant and sentented six months’ imprisonment pending deportation. ■■ ~ _ -The magistrate said'.the only thing • : he' could consider, was' the Question of i aw —whether Kisch had failed to comply with what was prescribed by the law; In regard to the language test, it appeared it had been made by a person born where Gaelic was spoken by a considerable number of people, and if that were so the test,was a fair one to any ' person who might he able to speak .or write the language... _ - Kisch’s counsel intimated his intention, to appeal.
