The Armando Diaz was thrown open for public inspection from 2 o’clock till 5 o'clock this, afternoon and large crowds took the opportunity of seeing one of the most modern cruisers afloat. During the afternoon the Dunedin and the Diomede, which returned to the dominion last iveek from Melbourne, arrirecl in port. As the New 7 Zealand vessel? came up the stream the band on the quarter-deck of the Armando Diaz struck up the National Anthem and the sailors ami sightseers stood to attention.
