CONCERT AT ST. KILDA

The Artillery Band played to a packed house at the Coronation Hall, St. Kilda, last evening, when the usual entertainment was given in aid of the Mayor’s Relief Depot, St. Kilda. A strong company of assisting artists was present, and every item was thoroughly appreciated. The band opened with the march ‘Marine Parade.’ followed by the descriptive fantasia ‘ Military Church Parade.' The remainder of the programme was contributed to by the following :—Miss Loathly (soprano), Mr T. Mawer (accordion), Miss Lydia Henderson (elocutionist), Mr Mee (vocalist), the band (popular numbers), Miss Billie Robinson (elocutionist), Mr Tom Dillon (tenor), Tho Hilo Hawaiian Guitar Trio, tho band (march). Mr R. Moore was the accompanist. A vote of thanks to the performers was carried by acclamation. The chairman (Mr W. R. Sellar) announced that another concert * had been arranged for next Sunday, and reminded the audience of the hard-up and fancy dress dance which will be held on Wednesday. A number of splendid prizes had been secured, and these would be competed for on that night.
