ROSLYN RELIEF DEPOT

The monthly meeting of the. Executive and General Committee of the Roslyn relief depot was held last week. Dr A. R. Falconer occupied the chair. The reports from the coal, food-order, clothing, and boot departments were adopted. The ladies who washed and cleaned the garments brought in as a result of the commercial travellers’ drive were thanked. In order to encourage relief workers to undertake ordinary employment, it was resolved that the benefit of the local relief funds should be made available for them during the period in which they might be financial losers and also that, local relief should be available for those,-re-commended by a member of committee or by the local clergy. For these the depot will be open every second Wednesday in the month from 2 to 4 p.m. Nurse Kinmont’s report upon her work in the nursing department was adopted. A vote of sympathy with Mr Moir in his illness was passed.
