SUNDAY SERVICES

The Rev. W. Allen Stevely will. conduct Hie services at first Church. His subject in the morning will be * The a.ye Clinic, ’ and in the evening * Changing the Subject.’ Hr'V. IS.' Galway will be the organist. Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both'services in Knox Church. The evening subject will be ‘ Pen Versus Penknife.’ ‘ Prayer and Its Answer ’ will be the Rev. Thomas Miller’s subject in tit. Stephen’s Church at the morning service. In - the evening his .subject will be ‘ Where Wrong is Bigoted.’ .At the evening service the choir • will sing the' anthem, ' The Radiant Morn,’ and Miss Scott will bo the soloist. The Rev. R.'T. Dodds-will conduct both services at the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church. A “ Come to Church ” campaign will be commenced in the Methodist churches of Dunedin and throughout the dominion. Specially appropriate and will be conducted throughout the month Of August. At Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, the Rev. C. H. Olds; 8.A., will speak' in the morning on ‘ Religion," the Wonder of It!’ and in the evening .on ‘ Why Go to Church ?’ At the morning service ‘ Nearer, My God, to Thee ’ will be sung by Mr D. MTnnes,' and in the evening Sun of My Soul ’ by Mrs A. Chisholm. The choir, will sing ‘There is ,a Green Hill,’ Miss Phyllis West taking the solo. . A social hour, with supper, will follow in the- schoolroom. “ Come to Church” campaign, at Dundas Street Methodist Church. Morning, Mr N.Hendra; evening, Rev. Percy Cooke (subject, ‘ The Job of the Church ’). ■ Anthem. At the St. Hilda Methodist Church both services will ’be conducted by the Rev. Percy Paris. At the Hanover Street Baptist Church Rev. E. S. TuckwelJ will conduct both services, Communion will tollow the morning service. Mr Tuckwell will preach on ‘ How May We Be Sure of God?’ in the evening; and tjie, anthem wil be ‘ Holy, Holy, Holy.’ ‘ Religion and Business ’ will be the topic at the Caversham Baptist Church in the morning. At 6.30 a young people’s service', the topic being ‘ Not a Grey Hair.’. The newly-formed male choir will contribute suitable music. The Rev. H. E. Edridge will be the speaker at both services. The Rev. .Albert Mead will conduct the services at the Moray Place Congregational Church. The subject of the , addresses will be ‘ The Epistle to the Colossians ’ and.’ The Supreme Test,’ morning and evening respectively. , The Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft will -be the preacher at the United Congregational Church, his subject being ‘Revival’ and The Christians’ Crowning Day.’ : Communion will be celebrated at the evening service. ’

First Church of Christ Scientist will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, 154 Stuart street. The subject for the morning and evening services will be ‘Love.’ At the Theosophical Society Mr M. G. MTnnes will give a. lantern . lecture bn ‘ Westland Scenery.’ _ * ‘The Workshops of God-’ is’the subject chosen by Sister Lily Lingwood-Smith for her address at the Spiritualist Church in the evening. She will afterwards 'give individual spiritual clairvoyant messages. There will bo a meeting of members after the service.
