SOUTH DUNEDIN COMMUNITY SING With the object of augmenting the funds for the relief of distress in the district, the South Dunedin Unemployed Association has arranged a weekly community sing, the first to take place in the South Dunedin Town Hall on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The sing will be interspersed with vocal solos and instrumental and novelty items by well-known local artists, prominent among whom will be Miss Moreen Phillips, a member of. the Phillips family of musicians* The services of the popular stage artist, “Joey,” have been secured as song leader, and the accompaniments will be played by Miss Ethel Matheson. The association will bo thankful for donations of money or other useful gifts. As it is intended to hold a Christmas treat for the children of the unemployed tho association asks for generous public support.
