WED AFTER VOYAGE
Soon after disembarking at Cape Town from the liner Warwick Castle, Mrs Marsh Fenwick, formerly Peggy Marsh, the actress, was married secretly by special license to Mr Geoffrey Joel, nephew of the late Mr Solly Joel. The couple have known each other for years and are very old friends. , Mrs Marsh Fenwick, who started life as a chorus girl in London, obtained a divorce from her second husband, Captain Keld Robert George Fenwick, m 1928. She was previously married—in 1921 to Mr Albert L. Johnson, a member of a prominent New York family. Mr Johnson died in 1923 from pneumonia complicated by a bullet wound received by accident. Mrs Fenwick figured as claimant in the £400,000 will dispute of the Marshall Field fortune. She claimed a share for her son, but the American courts decided against her. Mr Geoffrey Joel is a director of the Johannesburg Consolidated Investments Company.
