SUNDAY SERVICES
At First Church the Eev. W. Allen Stevely’s subjects will be: In the morning, ‘lf Winter Comes,’ and in, the evening ‘ The Laughter and Tears of God.’ Dr V. E. Galway will be the organist. The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct hollx services in Knox Church. The subject for the evening' will ho ‘ The Sense of Incompleteness.’ At St. Stephen’s Church the preacher will bo the Eev. Thomas Miller, who will continue in the evening the course of sermons on ‘The Future Life,’ the subject being ‘ls There a Hell?’ There will be an ordination of deacons at the morning service, when the subject will be ‘ Christ Loved the Church.’ Parents’ Day will be, observed -at tbs South Dunedin Presbyterian Church, when the Eev. E. T. Dodds will conduct both services. ‘ Does Prayer Accomplish Anything?’ will be the theme of the Eev. C. H. Olds at Trinity Methodist Church in the morning. The service will inaugurate a week of prayer for missions. In the evening Mr Olds will preach on ‘Voltaire and Wesley: Apostles of Liberty.* The anthem will bs ‘ The Lord Is My Strength,’ and Miss E. A. Fawcett will sing ‘ 1 Como to Thee.’ Church anniversary will be celebrated at Woodhaugh, the preacher being the Rev. L. B. Noale at II a.m., and the Eev. F< E. Foot at 6.30 p.m. The service at the Methodist Central Mission in the morning will be conducted by the Eev. F. E. Foot. In the evening the Rev. L. B. Neale will be the preacher, and ho will take as his subject ‘ The Fighting Stars. Miss Phyllis Clare will be the soloist. _ The morning service at Dundas Street Methodist Church will be conducted by Mr N. Hendra. Evening, Eev. Percy Cooke; subject, ‘Ye Shall Eeceivo Power.’ Solo, Mr W. Armstrong. Song service at close of evening service. ’ , ~ At the St. Kilda Methodist Church the come-to-church, month will be further observed by a children’s, service in the mornmg and a home and family service in the evening. The Eev. Perry Paris 'will conduct both services. , , ... Eev. E. S. Tuckwell will conduct both services in the Hanover Street Baptist Church, preaching in the morning on ‘ Personality In Evangelism,’ and in the evening on ‘ Enduring To the End. The anthem wiU be ‘ Holy, Holy, Holy.’ ' Communion will follow. , At the Moray Place Congregational Church, in contiuflation of the senes of addresses set down for the month of consecration (May), the Rev. Albert Mead will speak in the morning on ‘ The Christ of the Gospels—According to Luke, and in the evening on ‘ The Christian’s Progress —Going Forward ‘The Resurrection of Man: When, Where, and How?’ is the title of Sister Lingwood-Smith’s address at the Spiritualist Church in the evening. She will give demonstrations of spiritual clairvoyance after the address. _ First Church of Christ Scientist will conduct services in Allbell Chambers, 154 Stuart street. The subject for the morning and evening services will be Mortals ana Il At°the S Theosophical Society Mrs Brooks will deliver an address on * Life—A Great Adventure.’
