COTTON MILL STRIKERS
FIRED ON BY POLICE SIX SERIOUSLY INJURED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CALCUTTA, May 17. The police fired on riotous Bombay cotton mill strikers yesterday, and six were seriously injured. The trouble arose when the management posted a notice that the strikers would not receive full pay for April owing to their striking without notice. The strikers stoned the mill and injured several police officers and constables.
