TWENTY TOWNS VISITED (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, May IC. The Prince of Wales has begun a three days’ tour of North Wales as patron of the National Council for Social Service. Ho will visit twenty towns and villages, inspecting voluntary work for the unemployed. The tour will be as informal as possible. The Prince is accompanied only by bis private secretary.
A HAPPY CENTENARIAN

A centenarian, Mrs Hughes, curtseyed to the Prince of Wales and said: “ Your Highness, you have made an old woman very happy.” The Prince shook hands, patted her on the shoulder, and replied: “It makes me very happy to hear that.”

Continuing his tour in the unemployment welfare centres of North Wales, the Prince of Wales heard, while in Holyhead, of an old lady of 101 who was very disappointed that she was unable to sec him. The Prince thereupon drove several miles off his routq to call at her home, and stayed talking with her for .some time. The Prince also visited tho Welsh slate quarries, and inspected the ruins of Carnarvon Castle, where ho was received by Mr Lloyd George,
