PORT CHALMERS CONGREGATIONALISTS
This year is the seventieth anniversary of the Port Chalmers Congregational Church. Special services were conducted last Sunday by the Rev. T. Flower, both morning and evening. The choir, under the leadership of Mr K. G. Roy, LL.B., rendered special anthems at both services. At the morning service the preacher took for his text, Rev. xxi., 5, ‘ Behold 1 Make All Things New.’ In the evening the choir rendered the anthems, ‘ Sing Praises to the Lord ’ and ‘ Praise His Holy Name.’ The subject of the address was ‘ What the Church Means To Me,’ after which Mr Neilson sang ‘ 1 Will Follow Him All the Way.’ To-morrow evening, in the Town Hall, the Moray Place Choir will give a musical programme. At a later date there is to be an “ at home” .lor old identities, provided by the Young Helpers’ League, also an anniversary social.
