CRICKET
A match was played on the North Ground yesterday afternoon by members of the Grange Chib between teams from the first and third grades and the second A and second B grades. The second team batted first and compiled 88 runs, the chief contributors being Mercer 27, J. Dey 21, G. Knowles 15 Bowling for tho firsts, J. Gould (three for 27) and O. Dey (two for 20) secured the wickets. Tho first and third grade side scored 115 runs, those reaching double figures being J. Gould 59, C. Chadwick 20, O. Dey 21. C. Sandom and K. Ben fell 12 each. Bowling for tho seconds, J. Douglas took three for 25, H. Hogg two for 14, P. Campbell ore for 12. and .). Dry one for 8. The first and third side won by 57 runs.
