(Received February 8, at 1 p.m.) The golfer Archie Keane has received advice from Sarazen and Kirkwood that they will definitely be com-, petitors in this year’s Australian open championship in October. They will reach Australia in the beginning of October, and will tour New Zealand and Honolulu on their way back to America. THE ALL BLACKS THIS YEAR'S TOUR SYDNEY, February 8. (Received February 8, at 11 a.m.) Queensland has accepted the itinerary proposed by the New South Wales Uhion for the All Blacks’ tour next season. This will strengthen the New South Wales Union when approaching the New Zealand Union for its endorse(ment of the programme. Victoria has not 3’et replied. SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS MORE RECORDS BROKEN SYDNEY, February 8. (Received February 8, at 11 a.m.) At the women’s swimming championships, in the half-mile, Miss Edna Davey defeated Miss Joyce Cooper (England) by a few inches in a stirring contest. Miss Dayey’s time of 12min 9 4-ssec lowered by 3sec her own Australian record. It is also believed to be a world’s record, of which official recognition is being sought. Miss Kitty Mackay broke the New South Wales 100 yards free style record in Imin 4sec. Miss Jean Cocks hitherto held the record. Miss Bonnie Mealing established an Australian record of 2min for the 200 yards back stroke swim.
